About Us
Welcome! Rockbridge County holds a special place in the hearts of my family and has for many years. I grew up visiting my grandparents/aunts/uncles, enjoying the outdoors, appreciating the history, and supporting the VMI Keydets. My dad's love for the VMI (Class of '63) rubbed off on me so much that I also went to the "I" (Class of '97) and visit with my family whenever possible.

What exactly does “HayDown” mean?
At VMI, cadets refer to their beds at “hays” and every morning they must roll up or put away their hay. At the end of the day, Cadets are allowed “HayDown,” which means they are allowed to roll out their bed and rest.
